PCR carry out extensive repairs and maintenance to a wide range of bridges including Steel highway bridges, Steel Rail bridges, Cable suspension bridges, Steel Viaduct and Masonry/Concrete Bridges.
Repair and maintenance activities include rivet replacement, web stiffener strengthening, top and bottom flange strengthening, installation of splice plates, resin bonding steel plates, installation of bridge bearing, jacking of bridges, shotblasting and painting steel bridges using ICATS operatives, provision of slung scaffolds, working in tidal zones, concrete repairs, and ventilation of work area when painting and shotblasting.
Bridges repaired during rail possessions - all operatives hold PTS certificates.
Accredited to London Underground and Network Rail, while our compliance and affiliation accreditors include: BSI (ISO 9001), Linkup and the ORR. PCR have verification to RISQS policy number 059033. PCR are certified to the The Register of Qualified Steelwork Contractors Scheme for Bridgeworks (RQSC).
The new member will be installed in full compliance with the method statement and risk assessment.

PCR replace bridge parapets comprised of ornate cast iron parapets, carbon steel parapets, stainless steel parapets. These are normally removed and refurbished using liquid metal repair for cast iron parapets. During the removal of the parapets temporary barriers are installed until the original parapets are replaced. New carbon steel parapets are supplied by The Ferrocast Post and Parapet System in Polyurethane and is designed to meet the requirements of BS6779: Part 1 Highways Parapets for Bridges and Other Systems. It is manufactured in mild steel and Ferrocast Polyurethane.
Other systems are supplied by Bridge Parapets, Holgate have completed numerous bespoke parapet systems to client specification over the years.
We have provided systems in mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium incorporating stainless steel wire rope, acrylic and toughened glass. Our team of engineers can take architectural concepts and preliminary designs from conception to manufacture and installation.
