P C Richardson & Co Ltd have now introduced Thermic Lance Cutting to the Sellafield Waste Park Project. This allows PCR qualified operatives to size reduce large exempt, and none exempt redundant steel items generated from the various decommissioning projects on site in preparation for final disposal.
Trial operations were undertaken off site prior to induction on site. We are now able to process approximately 6 tonnes of steel per cutting day.
