PCR were awarded the contract to carry out maintenance works to an arch barrel bridge in North Yorkshire between February and March 2021 on behalf of the Council. Work involved vegetation removal, repointing to the arch barrel and abutments, localised parapet and coping stone rebuild, scour protection works and the installation of 12no 3.6m length Cintec grout and sock anchors. PCR are approved installers of this system and activities included core drilling 60mm diameter x 3.6m length holes to the voussoir stone in the body of the arch, inserting the anchor system in place and injecting grout from a pressurised pot. Work was carried out on time and within budget.
