Specialist access techniques can provide an effective alternative to conventional access methods such as MEWPs and cranes, particularly where access is restricted or difficult. Our experienced teams develop practical access solutions tailored to the structure, work scope and site requirements.
Our rope access operations are undertaken by trained technicians working in accordance with IRATA requirements, supported by experienced Level 3 supervisors with specialist knowledge of rigging, rescue and working at height. Our teams also include riggers, slingers, steeplejacks, confined space operatives and Appointed Persons, allowing us to provide a comprehensive access solution using appropriately qualified personnel.
PCR can design, supply and install suspended cradle systems for high-level inspection, maintenance and repair works. Systems can incorporate twin electric hoists connected to an aluminium cradle, with independent suspension and secondary safety wires. Suspension arrangements can be supported from suitably engineered and load-tested roof beams or moveable gantries.
Prior to use, suspended cradle systems are subject to appropriate testing, inspection and recording in accordance with the relevant lifting and site requirements. Following installation, systems can also be independently inspected and certified where required.
