The emerging nuclear decommissioning industry was identified in the early 1980’s as an appropriate market sector into which many of the core skills and disciplines could be readily transferred.

We currently employ a multi-disciplined workforce with extensive practical experience of operations within the constraints of the nuclear decommissioning industry, whilst also being conversant with the associated hazard of alpha, beta gamma radiations, beryllium, chemical combination and asbestos.

Supervisory personnel are IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) trained, and the company has currently processed NVQ’s in nuclear decommissioning for its workforce.

All site activities are covered by a comprehensive documentation system to comply with both the customer requirements and those directed under ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Scheme.

  • Concrete and masonry decontamination, using bespoke shaving equipment and hepa filtered vacuum recovery
  • Mechanical dismantling
  • Electrical strip out – we have over 20 years of experience of working to detailed safety plans, which have included undertaking isolations and removal of electrical services to process plant and equipment. Our competent electricians can effectively decommission and remove a wide variety of electrical switch and control panels and all associated wiring from contaminated process and service environments prior to demolition.

  • Size reduction – using specialist diamond wire sawing equipment we can effectively saw a wide range of materials for size reduction and demolition purposes. Examples include reinforced concrete, steel and other process vessels.
