The power station’s external fabric was made up of Georgian wired glass supported in aluminium framing, which also had asbestos gasket. Overtime, these materials deteriorated. PCR recommended to remove the glass and asbestos and replace with high strength translucent sheeting. PCR supplied all suspended work platforms and hoisting equipment.
